Free Science Activities

In celebration of National Science Week from 6th to 15th March we have compiled a selection of fabulous free events taking place around the country. Also, watch out for fun experiments appearing daily in the learning section of our website during Science Week.

FEED THE PLANTS
Where: Manchester Museum
When: 7th March
What: An exploration session at the museum to find out more about carnivorous plants, with a chance to feed these predators.

JOIN THE UGLY BUG BALL
Where: Weston Park Museum, Sheffield, South Yorks
When: 7th March
What: A creepy crawly themed day out with an Ugly Bug fancy dress competition and lots of fun activities.

CELEBRATE EINSTEIN’S BIRTH
Where: Tomorrow’s Teignmouth, Devon
When: 13th March
What: A science inspired concert and sing-along from Teignmouth Commuity Choir with an opportunity to sing Happy Birthday to Einstein (a day early!)

EXPLORE CLIMATE CHANGE
Where: South Yorkshire Energy Centre, Heeley City Farm, Sheffield
When: 14th March
What: Family activities exploring climate change, energy efficiency and conservation.

DISCOVER SUSTAINABILITY
Where: Great Hall, Cardiff University
When: 12th March
What: A sustainability fayre with displays, demos and ideas to change the way we travel, eat, buy and sell.
