Go tree dressing

Tree Dressing Weekend takes place during the first weekend of December every year. Here is our pick of the best places to decorate trees this winter.

1 Enjoy songs, dances and traditional food and drink in West Sussex at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum on 5th Dec (pictured). wealddown.co.uk

2 Enjoy a service beneath the trees in Suffolk on the weekend 3,4 and 5th Dec – for example Taize for Advent will be held within the church grounds at Rendlesham. 01449 724633

3 Cast a wish as you decorate the trees and make your own wreath on 5th Dec at Medlock Valley, nr Manchester. medlockvalley.org.uk

4 On 5th Dec celebrate National Tree Dressing Day with craft activities, and entertainment at Irchester Country Park in Northamptonshire. 01933 276866

5 Go space age and write poetry and wishes for the trees at Cripplewood Park, nr. Worcester on 5th Dec. See worcester.gov.uk for info.
