Ai Pioppi has over 40 attractions inspired joy for children of all ages. The best bit? Entry is free. Rollercosters, slides and seesaws use only the energy provided by the people on the rides.

“A branch falls, a leaf floats down, a bird flies by, a stone rolls. And I say to myself, ‘Maybe I can use this movement,’” the restaurant’s owner Bruno said about conceiving the idea for the rides. Tucked away in a wooded area behind a restaurant in northeastern Italy, Bruno built each of the rides himself.
