New research has found that bees exposed to a realistic dose of neonicotinoids are less able to learn to buzz, which reduces their ability to collect pollen from certain varieties of flower. The results have serious implications for bee populations, and are likely to lead to less successful colonies because bees will bring less pollen back home.
