I live in a cliff-top home with no mains power but the most breathtaking views and am soothed to sleep by the sound of the sea. We moved here last summer from our floating home - a 30 foot 1920s cruising yacht and still miss our boat-dwelling days (but hey, we’re not far from the sea!) but had to come ashore to begin the adoption process. I live with my delicious and witty husband, three quirky cats and an extremely unique dachshund/French bulldog cross. We’d dearly love to have children and have been trying since early 2007. Medical check-ups have proved disheartening and after many years of an holistic approach to fertility, we’ve chosen adoption as our way of making a family. We’re in the process of being assessed and in the meantime, we have the endlessly joyful company of our two neices, our two god-daughters and my god-son to warm our cockles and keep us in hearty laughter. And plenty of sea air and sea shanties to sing.
