Is there a general consensus that this is just not done?

I dont see how that can work, it would make the whole feedback thread useless.  If you cant resolve it with the person in question & the mods are unable to help then I would leave honest feedback.

What Nicky said smile
If you can’t resolve it, honest feedback is needed.

Well, as the feedback forum began because of negative experiences a few people were having - it would be nonsensical if no one was honest about a poor transaction - although I do think they should try to resolve with the person in question first.  Nor do I see it the job of the mods to mediate disputes either - the site takes no responsibility for transactions between members and its all done at our own risk, which I think also means the mods shouldn’t be involved in disputes, the only time they should be intervening, I think, is to perhaps tell disgruntled folks to take it to pm to sort out.

Everyone is really respectful on here; so it’s probably a given; I just think that leaving negative feedback should NOT be an excuse to flame a person (I belong to some other sites, in which personal flaming can be AWFUL).  Simply saying there was a negative experience and perhaps briefly why is all that is needed.

OTOH I am awfully wussy and honestly probably wouldn’t hmmm

In fact, I have had a not-good experience but can’t remember who it was with or whether that person is active any more so that’s pretty useless too.

Yep - this is me too.  Person in mind isn’t active any more; doesn’t have a feedback thread.  Just wondered what others thought about it….. thanks smile
