Just wanted to share.  DD was left for the first time last night with my Mum.  We were invited to a 40th birthday party and the plan was that I would get DD to sleep, and then we’d go for a couple of hours.  Well, DD was wide awake and Mum suggested that we go, she would be able to manage her.

We got home at 11pm, and she was fast asleep in her own bed.  She had fallen asleep in Mum’s arms being rocked and sung to.  For anyone who knows how “attached” DD has been to me, this is such a big step forward, she really is growing up, and in a wonderfully calm way.  I feel so blessed to have the support to do these things when the children are ready.

As you can imagine, I was a nervous wreck all night, but so proud of my little girl smile

Well done, yes. Clearly remember being a nervous wreck at some seperations from Babes - i.e. when she started weaning.
Best
