E takes her socks off as quickly as you put them on and her feet are starting to feel cold now the weather is getting more autumnal.  I’m thinking the solution is probably tights under trousers instead of socks, do you think she would get too warm around her legs/bottom?  And other than frugi which brands of tights are good for big cloth bottomed chunky girls??!!

I never bought special tights for dd’s cloth bottom, found regular ones were fine.
You might find she gets hot with tights and trousers, suppose it would depend on the thickness of the trousers.
have you seen “sock ons”? You can buy them in mothercare to keep baby socks on their feet, apparently they work very well.

With the weather getting cooler i’ve been putting dd in tights pretty much everyday too. She doesn’t get hot and if I put her in socks/trousers i find her legs get cold really quickly. She’s a chunky(15lb) 4 month old but i just put her in whatever brand tights i can find and they fit no problem.

How big is she? I have some tights which you’re welcome to as Tansy’s grown out of them, if you want to PM me your details, I’ll send them to you.

Yeah, same as others, Eve never needed special tights - they were stretchy enough to go over cloth.

I’ve found Padraig Cottage boots VERY sticky as an alternative to socks - Thom still struggles to pull them off now, poor lamb, and he’s 20 months.  They are very lovely, if you feel like splashing out or could request some as a pressie….

Just check in the shop to check there are two seams around the bottom and one seam at the front, that gives the extra room for cloth.  I used to get them from Pumpkin Patch but I’m sure other places do them.

What about leg warmers? eg Huggalugs, Babylegs etc
Or do you think she’ll pull them down/off too
