.....And which scraps are not?

Advice please!

Ours have organic layers pellets, some wheat berries and sometimes a handful or organic corn… the odd bit of bread.  What else can I give them?

we are new to keeping chickens smile

thanks in advance!

Hi,

Ours have pretty much anything left from the kitchen!

We obviously don't give egg or chicken scraps!

They do have anything green and peelings from fruit. Have read not to give potato peelings (fine cooked), but mine do go and help themselves from the compost heap and seem to enjoy them with no adverse effect!

They adore pasta! especially spaghetti chopped up like worms!

White bread is not meant to be given, and bread generally is better if has been soaked in water or milk.

Ours have become more like pigs in what they consume, and I have really noticed the fact that nothing much gets thrown away anymore… the best natural recycling machine!!!

Hope something here helps you and you enjoy your Ladies as we do!!!
