Grace seems to have a really thing about washing her hands with liquid soap at the moment. There’s little i can do here - it’s not my house, and every sink has a pump dispenser of chemically soap. The rest of my family don’t really see the issues, so although I don’t let her use it, I know they do :(

Anyway - we are moving out soon, and I would like to have a nice chemical free liquid soap that Grace can use. Perhaps if I get a couple I can even encourage the family to use it in place of the chemical ones. Does anyone have any recommendations of some nice ones with Parabens, SLS etc?

I use diluted castile soap at the moment, but if I remember right you didn’t get on with it. I’ve got a wonderful soap dispenser that is an odd shaped person-ish creature who squirts the soap out of its nose when you push down on the head (a wedding gift!), and what I’ve done in the past is just buy a nice shower gel to put in it. It gives you a much wider selection of soaps to choose from and if you find one you particularly like, you can buy it in bulk. We use Faith in Nature Seaweed shower gel as a body wash mainly because I don’t think we need more than one in the shower and it’s the ONLY one so far that dh will agree to (he’s picky about scents).

Have you tried the African Black liquid soap?  I got some a while ago from Akamuti, it’s lovely stuff smile

i second the african black liquid soap…akoma skincare make it too…i gave them the recipe when i closed treehuggaz….but its cheaper if you buy the bars and make it yourself tbh half and half water and soap…they use distilled water to keep it fresh but if you are gonna be using it within a month then tap would be fine.

the other one i used to make was the natural liquid castille soap from soapkitchen mixed with flower waters like orange or rose. its just olive oil, coconut oil, citric acid and veg glycerine in the soap.

I buy the 1 litre refills of Ecover Lavender handwash for all our soap dispensers, it’s not my favourite but I like not having to buy loads of small bottles!  I would probably buy a Faith In Nature one if I saw it locally.
