There seems to be a spate of new mamas coming to our LLL group, several of whom I keep seeing around town wearing my slings, for some reason…

...though at least I have an explanation for why I now only have one in the house and one on the washing line!

Anyway, one particular couple, who have really taken to babywearing, have become very good friends with me, Cerys and Cat, and we were out in Bridgend with them yesterday, when our genius friend decided that as the high chairs were not very supportive and had no straps, she would thread the sling around the back of the seat, cross it over her son’s chest, and then over his back, and repeat a few times until there wasn’t much fabric trailing on the floor (they were using my large EllaRoo Nadia)

I tried this with Cerys, but she was too tired to let me do it, so she ended up sitting on my knee for lunch, then decided she only wanted boobs anyway, then promptly fell asleep!

Sorry if this has been done by lots of you before, but it just hadn’t crossed my mind, and I thought it was brilliant, especially as I like the multifunctionality of slings.  grin

It’s great isn’t it - we occasionally do it with Grace as she is a contortionist and can wriggle ot of highchair starps in seconds! smile

I suppose it had never occurred to us because Cerys still so often sits on us when she’s eating, or in the pushchair if we have it with us. It’s another reason to have a very long wrap.  grin
