We don’t home educate but this is what we’re doing:
This afternoon trip to the garden centre.
My older girl is having intensive swimming for half an hour every morning this week.
Tomorrow afternoon trip to theatre to see Wolve of Wiloughby Chase for me and my older girl (bought the tickets months ago!)
Wednesday meeting up with my lovely blogging friend and me and DH are seeing The Kings speech on Orange wednesday for a treat in the evening.
We’re going to Moores Valley country park later in the week.
A trip to a big ball pool place (How I hate those places!)
And possibly taking the DC to the cinema in the kids club, two adults and two children only costing £5 for all of us!
And a free activity at the library.
And going to the woods in between!

Our Week:
MON - we’re off to library tomorrow, and will be printing off some wordsearches (DD1 wishes to do some of these over our holiday.) Our printer cart has just run out of ink, and while ok to pay 5p a time to print from library pcs, not ok to spend £18.99 on cart replacement. will also be coming back with books…Also need to buy some chalk on way home as picked up a mini blackboard in local charity shop the Thurs before half term for the bargain price of 25p!
TUES - DD2s playgroup (which I co-run) isn’t fully open during holiday, but the cafe in the church is and the hall will also have a few toys in, so will go to that… there are a few older children to play with/read with/draw with so DD1 won’t get bored.
WED - Trip to Berkhamstead castle to look for the dragon who lives there. Taking picnic.
THURS - Off to local waterside park, and DD1 using her camera to get some photos of the wildlife…. DD2 will just be covered in mud, and loving it!
FRI - TH off as he works as a teacher, so we’ll possibly head to ashridge, and spend the day looking for the deer, and round off with a hot chocolate in the cafe. Will also take DD1s camera. TH will prob take his SLR along too.
SAT - Back to library to return books we borrowed. Choose some more. Maybe get the printer cart as should have the cash by then, if we aren’t tempted by the lovely cakes at the NT visitor centre on FRI.
SUN - Lazy Sunday, perhaps with a walk to the pub, which has a big childrens play area, and which you get to along the canal. A glass of wine (OJ for the kids, obv! smile ) and a play on the giant climbing frame in the beer gaden. Then home for Dinner, and bed for school by 7.30pm for DD1, 7pm for DD2.
