I recently bought a trial pack of Little Lambs nappies and in it, it contained a pocket nappy which had a slit for putting my own stuffing in (it contained a lovely, bamboo sheet which is just too lovely to be used as a nappy imo ......).  I’d never seen a pocket nappy before, having only used Tots Bots or Motherease, but I want to buy a few extra nappies I gave a lot of my small nappies away when I thought Minnie was going to be my last baby.

So, question - How would you rate pocket/stuffable nappies against other kinds, is it easier to get the stains out when the liner is on the inside iykwim.  Has anyone any experience of Little lamb nappies?  My babies are usually very long and slim so Motherease are often too bulky for the first few months.  Any experience would be great.  smile

I used some Little Lambs on dd - both the cotton and the bamboo ones and they were good in my opinion. Really soft and absorbable and comfortable. My dd is slim too so some nappies were just too big for her. I can’t remember how old she was when I first got these, I used Bambino Mio prefolds at first, then got some other bamboo nappies I forget the name of (similar to little lambs), then got the little lambs later and eventually moved to Motherease Sandys and some Fuzzi Bunz when she got bigger. The Fuzzi Bunz are pocket ones - I have the older style but really liked them and dd used to always want them because they were bright colours. They came with stuffable pads but could be boosted with more. I found them good but again it was when she was older that I started using these rather than newborn. However they fit lovely - adjustable for slimmer bodies so I would think they would be good from a young age.

We used Little Lambs (bought from Rachael, so I’m sure she can help) and found them brilliant, though not very quick drying. We had some Motherease nappies, but found them far too big in the first four months or so, when using the Little Lambs. They didn’t really get stained, but some of the whiteness came from the liners, though that didn’t make them any less useful. The wraps were excellent for containing small baby’s liquid poo, but I’m afraid we’ve never used Little Lambs pocket nappies, so hopefully someone else can help with that.

We had a mixture of cotton and bamboo little lambs, and baminex bamboo nappies. Grace is tall and slim, and I did find the bambinex were better size wise in the early days. However, as she grew a bit, the little lambs were great - no leaks and easy to sun bleach the stains from. When she went in to size twos, little lambs had some offers on, and I got a few of their newer bamboo nappies, which were amazingly thick and absorbent - I mostly used them with an extra booster as night nappies. Absolutely no complaints about them here. We used them with fleece wraps during the day, which was fine, and with the little lamb Pul wraps at night.

No experience of their pockets I’m afraid.

Pocket nappies are great once you’re past the BF explosive stage! They’re not w=quite as efficient as 2 part nappies until then, but once the poo solids up, they’re great, and much easier to put on than 2 parts. They wash and dry much more easily than shaped nappies in the main as well - drying particlularly is much quicker. The fleec inside doesn’t get stained, as fleece just seems to throw stains off, but if you do get stains, just put the nappy in the sunshoine for a while - that will shift stains really well!

No experience with Little Lambs, but we use Wonderoos and they are awesome, just need a vinegar soak with a bicarb wash every 4-ish months… x

I used bambo little lambs for Rye, although from size 2 as I picked up some cheap shaped, made from terries, nappies for when he was a newborn/very little.
I really liked them and thought they were wonderful - the ones I had also had an integral booster that I use fold up for extra boosting at the front, wher elittle boys need it.  However the little lamb wraps, I found, were rubbish.  Mind I bought mine as seconds from Ebay, but the size 2 wraps did not cover the size 2 nappies, and I found the velcro fastening not brilliant and the wrap often slipped exposing the inner nappy, causing leaks.  Worked great with wool or ME wraps though (I even used plastic pants from boots for a while)

I have some stuffables now, and I do quite like…but if I were to ever have another baby I personally would go for the nappy covered by wool soakers/shorties/longies.
My friend uses wonderoos and sings praises.  I tried nature babies and thought they were rubbish, really odd fitting, and I have some bum genius too, that were ok, but I wasn’t a huge fan.

I couldn’t agree more! So many people are a bit wary of trying wool, but it’s quite amazing, as long as you have enough absorbency underneath, And so much cooler than anything else!
