Sorry Im not sure if this is the right place but are we allowed to place links in for websites etc? I’ve read a few bits which look as though we may not be able to and prehaps not able to name companies, of which I have broken both rules and say sorry now smile

Hi, please do put links in for websites, forums and blogs if it helps and do name companies. I’m not sure where you picked that up from, but the only thing I don’t really permit on here is advertising as there are proper places for that on our website and it keeps the forum nice grin Putting links in also helps us as it increases Google rankings.

Thanks Jez I thought it would be one you would respond to, I just noticed that someone was saying they weren’t going to name a company so then wasn’t sure, I know some sites do not allow you to post on links of other sites. Can I ask one final question? If putting up links does that open up your conversations to google? Just not sure I’d fancy some of my conversations being viewable to non members. Thanks again smile

If there is anything you are uncomfortable about being viewed by the masses then please use the members area as it cannot be seen by non-members. The fantastic thing about this forum is it’s reach into the world wide web, there are so many searches made on Google worldwide where people are looking for answers to questions and they end up on here finding the answer grin

Here are just a few of the searches made by people in the last hour (found using my analytics program):

Search: “hand knitting pattern for an easter chick”
http://thegreenparent.co.uk/forums/viewthread/10808/

Search: “how noisy are chickens”
http://thegreenparent.co.uk/forums/viewthread/16299/

Search: “cervix posterior”
http://thegreenparent.co.uk/forums/viewthread/6795/

How cool is that, this forum is such a mine of information!
