How do I spot clean and or wash them as gently as possible?  I can’t be the only Waldorf-inspired mama who has dirty children.  wink

Hi, spot cleaning is best for as long as possible. I use an old soft tooth brush and mild soap. Put a little soap on the tooth brush and work into skin in a gentle circular motion. Repeat with warmish water to rinse. Then leave to dry flat. If they are mega filthy you can very gently wash them by hand (or if you are feeling brave on a wool wash in the machine) with a littel detergent. Don’t over agitate as they may felt and I would try to avoid washing long mohair hair. Then make sure you leave them to dry flat and naturally… and then watch your kids get them filthy again in about 5 seconds (as mine do shrug and use the phrase’ oh well I tried!’ lol). If you want to blush their cheeks again, you may have gotten a blush pad with your doll. Or you can warm your fingers, and rub it over a wax crayon (red obviously lol), gently rub your reddened finger over the apple of the cheek. Repeat until you have built up amount of colour you want.
Hope this helps Laurax

Will those methods work for cloth dolls stuffed with wool too? I made grace a doll for her birthday in december, and it tends to be taken everywhere with her, dragged along like Winnie The Pooh!
