Hiya, just been looking at the weather and it looks like it could be quite cool and wet at the weekend, so I’m thinking not the best conditions to be sat outside.

So what is the preference?  Circle time during the day, fitting around other activities, when most of the children will be off playing, (kids are welcome at the circle btw).
Or evening?  Perhaps in the common room - it’s a big room so easy to portion a section off?

There is only one rule to Circle and that’s, “what is shared in Circle, stays in Circle.”

Please bring with you a bead - or any other item you’d like to give to the pregnant ladies (3 in total).
Please have a think of an affirmation/blessing you would like to write on a small scrap of cloth (or paper) during circle time, these will be placed into the crocheted pomegranets (3), sewn up and given to the mama’s, to be opened once labour begins.
A sharing stick will be passed around the circle, if you wish to share anything do so, if not pass it onto the next woman.
Toward the end of circle we will have “soul music” i.e. humming/singing; let your heart and soul take your voice on a journey; If you do not feel comfortable singing at first, then hum, or even clap, shake a rattle, bells, tambourine, beat a dum, whatever feels right to you.  (if you wish to play an instrument, please bring one with you).

As the soul music ends we will finish with a gentle relaxation, and sharing of water and cake. (vegan).

I hope that sounds ok to everyone, if anyone has an concerns or questions, feel free to grab me and ask grin

Joxy.

P.s. if the weather is ok on Saturday, we will do this outdoors…. so do bring a warm cardy/coat with you and picnic blanket.

Sounds great Joxy, thank you for doing the thinking and organising smile

I would prefer to do it during the day if that is OK, that way kids are likely to be playing and at night I can get quite busy, although I do hope the fresh air will tire them out wink

I would prefer daytime too…I am hoping to stay awake past 8pm, but it would be a first this week!

Thanks Joxy, it sounds fabulous and I can’t wait.

I think the local forecast looks OK Joxy…..I’ve just checked the BBC, met office and met check! There might be wet weather later in the pm/night though. I’ll bring a basket of rattley shakey things / bells etc from home to share amongst those that don’t feel vocal wink. Looking forward to it actually, quite outside of my previous experience but I’m enjoying the slight feeling of challenge that this is giving me!

This is going to be out of my comfort zone I think, but I’m looking forward to it! I need to do something a bit different to blow out the cobwebs so it’ll do me good! Just hope DD lets me have a little bit of ‘free’ time - I’ll have to see how it goes…

Are you planning on starting with deep breathing or relaxation Joxy?  It may help people relax and feel comfortable, I don’t normally do this sort of thing with others so that will make me quite self conscience if that makes sense?  But hey ho we’re all in the same boat and no doubt we will take it in turns to leave the circle run after kids and help avoid an emergency or two wink

Looking forward to it,
sarie

am sure it will be the same for all of us, if its something new to you or not new but sharing something of yourself with new people but most importantly, know you will be amongst friends, people who value you, your thoughts, your feelings, all that you are.
I have always found it very powerful to connect in such a way, the very fact that it is known what is shared in the circle stays in the circle, gives a great sense of freedom and trust, allowing you to perhaps express yourself differently, fully or maybe not, there are no have tos, you must or any expectations.
hugs to all

So excited .....as long as I don’t think of the journey and then it’s plain panic.  Am all packed, an amazing amount of stuff for a few days, but your food boxes must be HUGE if you’re managing with one.  Looking forward to meeting you all…I’ll be the scared looking one with the over excited children.x
