Hi everyone .

I have been a lurker on this site for a while and i thought i better introduce myself . I am a sahm to three children and one jack russell puppy . I am trying to be as green as i can get my family to be which belive me is soo hard as they are set in there ways :( . I have all the energy saving plugs in which switches eveything off . We recycle and compost we grow our own veg etc and i use soap nuts and soda crystals plus white vinegar to wash clothes . I use washable sanitary pads ( i tried to get my daughter to use them but she wasnt having any of it ) . I try to bake from scratch bought a bread maker etc ( which the kids moan they dont like the bread ) . I was wondering does anyone know of any cheap natural shampoo , conditioner and soap , it all seems so expensive and my partner says why buy that for 5 pounds when you can get it for less than a pound :( . if its not saving money my partner doesnt want to know :(

Well im back and very disapointed with myself as i fell off the green wagon and need to desperately get back on , but we struggled finacially before with paying for natural products mainly shampoo etc n toothpaste as its all so expensive and suggestions as im an all or nothing kinda girl and feel guilty if im doing something wrong and kinda punish myself abit for it ?
I also had to go back to dairy and meat as i was vegan but with advice from doc had to go back on as was so ill :( so im feeling kinda beaten by all this as i know whats right thing to do but struggle finacially to do it help :(
