I grow quite a lot through the Winter but I do live on the South coast and in a sheltered area so the temperatures are very different to what you have experience of. Maybe those who garden more northerly would advise better on your chances, but I’ll list what I grow over the winter.
I have Kales and Cavalo Nero growing and new seeds to sow still that will keep them producing right through to lat Spring when they’ll start to bolt and need replacing. Similarly I have Winter Greens/Cabbage type plants and Spring greens in too. I plant Broad Beans in the Autumn so they are up a few inches before the bad weather starts - they have come through the last couple of winters fine where we’ve had heavy snow for this area! Peas can be planted to over winter too - get a hardy variety specifically for Autumn planting.
I grow Chard and other Spinaches too that are hardier for the Winter months but these might not survive your frosts.
Winter lettuces - there are some really hardy varieties so they may be okay for some of the colder months, maybe protect them a bit when the really hard frosts come. Oriental greens are hardy and can be grown throughout the Winter.
I also grow broccoli raab - a kind of sprouting broccoli that is ready to pick after 40 days so this is excellent - sown now and through Autumn and then sow again once the really cold weather has ended.
Hope some of this helps or gives you ideas x
