Hiya

I’ve been reading things recently about sugar cravings and the wisdom in following a low-glycaemic (my guess at spelling there!) sort of diet (hate that word!!).

I really don’t want an American-style ‘miracle diet’ book or any over-excitable, prescriptive nonsense that claims to lead to fast weight loss.

Instead I want a grounded, balanced book which looks hard at evolution, history and the science of the body. Hopefully with pragmatic suggestions for good meals, snacks etc along the way. That’s quite a demanding list! But I feel sure that some of you wise parents out there may already have found a good read in this area, and if you have one to recommend I would absolutely love to hear it!

Thanks, Claire

ABSOLUTELY Patrick Holford!!!! I have seen him “live” and the diet definitely works. I didnĀ“t find it too difficult, recipes are gorgeous and doable, and i lost 2 stone with it in 6 months smile !
