How long should it take for potato leaves to appear after planting? I know I was pushing the window of late potato planting a little bit putting them in thos late but I kind of thought I might at least get leaves to appear! They’ve been in the ground 2-3 weeks now and nothing!

potatoes can take ages, especially if you planted them deep. Be patient; I think they will come smile

How exciting - new potatoes on Christmas day for you perhaps smile smile

Apparently they are ready for digging in 10 weeks from planting which means I *might* get them up before first frosts (they should be ready on bonfire night). And I did put them in fairly deep so I’ll be patient then and keep my fingers crossed?

Yes - it is a bit early to be seeing them yet - especially if you planted them deep. we had a total failure with ours this year, but that was weather and lack of sunlight.  Are they in the ground or a container?
