Meet up, dressing up, pinicy food, let kids play, games if we’re feeling ambitious lol
Just a bit of fun, maybe on a weekend or half term so older kids can come to?
I may be up for this…are hubbys allowed or are we mamas only
Not only because he sulks if he cant join us somewhere, but Id also struggle to get anywhere as I dont drive
I am inbetween Nuneaton/Coventry but don’t mind where just thought it would be a lot of fun to meet up with families, of course partners can come I don’t make the rules lol just putting the idea out there
Any suggestions of a meet up place would be good, I think I am quite far from alot of people BUT I would suggest that wherever we go we all need to chip in on Halloween themed cakes and food what do you think?
Oh and half term here is 24-28 October, weekend before Halloween might be good so partner and those that work could come?!
People are more than welcome to my house if it’s not too far from the large majority of people, we are 2 miles from Atherstone near Nuneaton (if you want the address to check please pm me).
Our house is small and messy but it doesn’t bother me so long as that’s ok with everyone else.
And we have a nice garden
Just ideas and I thoroughly expect everyone to join in (likewise suggest somewhere more suitable if you know of somewhere) BUT we could meet up at mine, all bringing food and children (possibly adults?) in fancy dress, decorations if you want, balloons, etc. Bring a game if we want to go that route? There is a park (really nice one with swings, roundabouts, zipwire, tunnels, etc) with football field and woods at the end of the garden if you fancy a walk, we could go sweet chestnut gathering if they are ready? Then come back for food, games, chatting and cake
I am in no way offering to organise all of this, we all have busy lives and if we all do a bit I thought it would be quite easy, I might tidy up if you’re lucky
What about the weekend before Halloween, would that suit people?
Sarie, that sounds lovely! So that would be the 29-30th Weekend right? We’d be up for it, can’t promise particularly creative costumes but it’d be loads of fun and I have been given a new cake recipe I want to try!! If Daddys come too I could even convince Jim who knows? Will watch this space, but count me and the children in (Oh and don’t tidy up!!)
I will tidy a bit otherwise you won’t get into the house lol, definately get Jim to come too
I’m afraid we are buying costumes this year, not putting pressure on myself to make this year, on a plus side I found a pumpkin costume in Wilkinsons for a quid and a skeleton outfit for two quid! Saule is sorted, off to Asda soon for Alice
Yes it would be that weekend, which is best for people Saturday or Sunday?
Your house would be fine for us - although Rowan wont be doing much running around in the park
just yet
Either day works so we will just go with what is best for everyone else.
Ill have to get my thinking cap on for missys outfit. I did buy some halloween fabric a while ago, but I dont think Ill have the inclination to make anything…hubby has just informed me I could go dressed as death..a good reflection of how I look/feel today.Still wanted to swat his ears mind :p
sticking my oar in here, with LOVE ofcourse
in light of a recent thread by our lovely Sarie, can I ask all you wonderful gpers, who end up getting together for halloween, round at Sarie’s house, please could you take a dish for the freezer, lets get some meals in there to lighten the load for our friend

How is the Sunday looking for people?
How about meeting at mine for around 11 or would 12 on a Sunday be a more realistic time?
If we get in, sort out food, have a coffee/tea/whatever, go for a wander if people fancy or just let kids play in the garden, food, games?
Anyone got ideas for Halloween games not likely to cause hassle or frustration in children
I was thinking sweeties in flour, apples on strings. Rather not do bobbing for apples as I have known a few children freak out with faces in the water, not good!
