It’s been a learning curve but I’ve managed to make myself a business page on facebook to promote my crafts. Does anyone else here use a page to promote their Etsy shop or similar? I thought we could post links here and share some likes and comments. Mine is here;

Did you know there’s an Etsy app on FB that creates a store front showing your Etsy items? People can then click on an item they like and go straight to etsy to purchase. There’s also an app (think it’s called pavement or something) that enables you to set an actual store up on FB. I seriously need to research all these options myself!

I have two business pages http://www.facebook.com/roseberrycottageuk/ for my handmade stuff and http://www.facebook.com/enchantedfabrics/ for my organic and eco fabric supplies.

I know there are quite a few crafty GP mamas with FB pages so this thread should grow quite long any moment now . . . . . .

I’ve “liked” both your pages and favourited your Etsy shop - your stuff is gorgeous, and lovely to see ethical fabrics in such lovely designs. Adding the etsy app is my next project. Apparently they are going to be removed from personal profiles soon but will still be able to be used on Pages.
By the way in case anyone isn’t aware, I found out yesterday that a “like” will only add to someone’s “like count” if you like from a personal profile - likes from business pages don’t alter the like count.
There’s a team on Etsy called Etsians on Facebook, which has a discussion thread with loads of useful tips for setting up facebook pages. I’d almost given up in despair and decided to hire a teenager for a couple of hours to do it for me, then discovered this team!
