I have never used this means of communication before (obviously still stuck in the dark ages!). I just wanted to comment on the recent article in the Dec/Jan issue regarding the health benefits of Sage tea. Whilst it is an excellent herb, I was slightly concerned that the article doesn’t mention you shouldn’t use it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Sage has been used to regulate the menstrual cycle and also to reduce lactation in nursing mothers when they stop nursing. Otherwise excellent edition as usual and am looking forward to creating a dolls house from shoe boxes with my little boy.

I haven’t seen it either, but sage tea is certainly not good for nursing mothers!
Funnily, tonight my son asked me to save cardboard boxes so he could make a village out of them surprised

I read it last night and noticed it said that sage tea helps reduce milk in nursing mothers. I’m currently breastfeeding so I made a mental note not to make any sage tea just yet! I agree it would have been helpful to mention not to drink it in pregnancy either. I do really enjoy these herbal articles; there seems so much wisdom that we (well, some of us!) have lost over time.

And welcome to the forum!

Thanks for mentioning this cpresland, you are quite correct as others have said. Melissa and I apologise for not noticing this and will put a ‘correction’ on the letters page in the next issue, I may print your post as well with your permission.
