just to let you know that jenmct has just had her baby, she asked if I would tell her story.
On Friday she posted on here that she had thought her waters had broken whilst laying on the couch but turned out it was a bottle of evian that had leaked all over her, panic over.
later that evening she spilt another cup of water and had just cleaned it up and was laying in bed when she heard a pop. She called her DH who by this time was not being very helpful as he was of the opinion she was exaggerating/ mistaken again.
But her waters had broken so drove to the hospital (she was supposed to be getting a c-section on 21 dec)
For those of you who don’t know jenny discovered she had lupus whilst pregnant and she had a really tough time of it. The baby was due to be born at 38 weeks but decided to come now at 36 weeks, baby was in breach with cord around her neck twice.
On the way to the hospital jenny was explaining to her dh what to do in case ‘’ she didn’t make it’’ thats how concerned she’ed been.
They allowed her to go into labour until the contractions were 4 mins apart then wheeled her in for her c-section.
Although she couldn’t focus on the baby straight away after birth due to shaking so much and being very scared as she could feel the dr ‘s hands inside her she says that everyone has been lovely and they couldn’t of wished for a better birth (as the circumstances were). The anethitist even stroked her face and talked her through it when her DH was dressing the baby and doing the tests.
Eva Angel was born at 02.15 at 2.6kg and 47cm. She is tiny but gorgeous. She had a little trouble finding the strength to suck as much as she neededd and jennys dh and the nurse has been helping a lot to take some milk by hand and then feed it to the baby with a syringe. The nurses have been amazing , one spending 2 hrs squeezing the milk from jennys breast/helping the baby latch etc
Last night she fed well and jennys milk came in which made it easier for the LO.
Mum, dad and baby eva are doing fantastic and should be home on thursday.
I’m sure she’ll let you all know then how it’s going.
Please send them all warm wishes so i can read them to her as she doesn’t have internet obviously but i know she’d appreciate some supportive words.
Oh, that has brought tears to my eyes. Please pass on my congratulations to jenmct and her husband. Welcome to the world Eva Angel (that is a beautiful name), I have a feeling you will be very much loved little girl. xx
I wonder how long it took her husband to realise she wasn’t joking about her waters !!!!!

Tears in my eyes too, so glad all are well. What a beautiful name, congratulations mama.
It’s amazing where you find humanity and compassion in times of crisis, the aneasthetist stroking her face is beautiful - I had a couple of moments like that when DD1 was born and I’ll never forget those people as long as I live.
Lovely news.. So glad they are both safe and together as a new little faily. Congratulations and welcome to the world little Eva Angel. Wishing them all a relaxing time together.
Lou xx
