Email sent this morning, hopefully I’ll hear back from my friend at some point this week (they decide everything by consensus so it may take a few days!)

Ok, so I have been busily exchanging emails!

We are on for the June 2nd long weekend and it should be a flat cost of £40 per family. Basically, they charge per tent rather than per person. That will include some firewood, for cooking over, but if we use lots we may be asked for a £5 top up per family. It might also include the marquee, but I’m in negotiations on that one!

So, i am going to get final confirmation of costs from Crabapple, then I will be asking for definite bookings and a £10 deposit per family.

Questions for you all…as I am organising the basic stuff would anyone like to offer themselves to lead/provide stuff for activities in case of rain?
Are you all ok with everyone organising their own food? I don’t want to give myself too much work to do with organising communal meals!
I’ll set a deadline for money as the first week in May, giving me plenty of time to chase people if necessary, sound reasonable?

Sounds brilliant, thank you so much for organising this far smile

Marquee would be wonderful just incase of rain, I think for us organising our own food would be best, maybe we could make one evening a bbq but each bring our own stuff just eat together if that makes sense?

It would be lovely to be able to have a fire of an evening, topping up 5.00 for firewood sounds good smile  Is the field suitable for bikes, probably bung the balance bike in the boot.

Very excited as I wasn’t sure if we would go camping this year.

We are tentatively interested, but it’s a bit of a trek for us. I’ll let you know if that’s OK?
