Considering going to this, you just pay for the pitch.  Campsite is basic, and no workshops or anything…but ooh really fancying this!

Ooh thanks for this, got my sisters wedding the fisrt weekend but think we’ll head over for the second weekend. Sounds lovely and not too far away.

Just got to work out how to do camping now lol

I can’t do the full camp, but I’m thinking of 21st June till 24th.

apparently there is a second camp in August too, but I understand that is a much busier camp and has quite a lot of teenagers.

I think me and the girls might do the whole week and Chris travel for the weekends, I think Leni’s best friend is going too!

Im hoping to go, not too far from us and I have a few home ed friends who go each year

I can’t get the link to work. Is there any info about it anywhere else? What are the dates? We are away in June for a bit but would be lovely to go to another HE camp (we are definitely doing HESFES this year!).
Do you know of any others?

Peak Camp is the UK’s longest running home education camp, running from the 21st June-1st July 2012, in the heart of the

beautiful Peak District in Derbyshire.

It’s been going for over 20 years and I was here at the very first one! I still love it today as I did as a young person and it is a highlight of the year for my young people now!

You don’t need to book, just turn up and enjoy the peace and quiet. The children usually organise their own activities and parents are encouraged to bring activities to share. Your imagination is your only limit.

The prices for this year remain the same as last year

Prices per night are as follows-
£2.50 for 16 and overs
£1 for 5-15 year olds
£2 for a car
£9 for a camper/caravan
Under 5s are free!

Other HE camps are the Welsh Eco HE camp.
I’m organising one in Kent too at Kingsdown International Campsite near Deal.  Cost of that is £4.50pppn, 3yrs and under free.  8th to 11th May.

this sounds brilliant, never been to an HE camp, but it sounds like it is all quite laid back.  Might put it in diary and see how DD goes.  Shes never camped before and I haven’t for a long time.  Might see you all there!

Only 2 weeks to go :D

Only just back from GP camp, but oooh yeah, looking forward to Peak Camp now.  Rye is very excited, and hoping he will see some of the friends he made at GP camp at Peak Camp.
I’ve also been able to arrange extra cover for my minded child, so I’ll be there now from 21st to 27th June :D :D

Ooh I’ll have my new tent too :D Looks like a bell tent, but had modern fabric and is half the price :D

As we can’t do HesFes, Chris can do a few more days of Peak Camp. We will be yurting with friends!
