Hi all,
Some of you may have seen my post a few days back, i’m reposting as now we have one week taken and we’re looking for someone else to take the other week.
We would like to offer our house in Belgium to someone/a family for a holiday in exchange for feeding our rabbit and fish and watering our plants.
The dates we need someone are from the 10th/11th july- 17th july.
boat from uk (dover to dunkirk ) costs approx 90 quid for a return with 5 passengers
Cheers

Hi, if you’re still looking for someone, we are quite interested - we dont have passports for all of us and would have to check with the job centre (if my husband hasn’t found work by then), but we’re potentially very interested! (and a bit excited - we haven’t been abroad since our honeymoon ten years ago!)

just found this too

if it’s your cup of tea http://www.polepole.be/en/festivals/pole-pole-gent/ also the gentse feesten or gent festival http://events.visitflanders.co.uk/sisp/index.htm?fx=event&event_id=104614 which is a 10 day festival throughout the historical city centre of gent, podiums on every square, puppet theatre, art workshops, all kinds of music it’s fantastic and mostly all free to wander around, all podiums are free etc About 2 million visitors attend the festival every year, making it one of the biggest cultural and popular festivals in Europe. The number of unique visitors on top nights surpasses 250,000. In a 2005 ranking by http://www.localfestivities.com, the Gentse Feesten was called the third biggest city festival in Europe, only preceded by the Fallas in Valencia and the Oktoberfest in Munich.14-23 july http://www.gentsefeesten.be/ mostly the info i can find is in flemish but it is well worth a trip
def worth a day trip anyway if you decide to come:)
