Hey there

Well I’m not sure where the time has gone but its my day for my c section tomorrow and I get to meet my little girl…. have been hoping over the last couple of weeks that she would just turn up in a quick and easy labour but no such luck so having a chilled day with OH and LO and then dropping my son at his grandparents, going for a meal and then home to rest up…....

(oh and to sort of my bikini line…..)

Getting a little bit nervous… I had emergency c section before which doesn’t give you much time to think about it but with knowing its going to happen its a little different…. just focusing on baby at end of it and not the list of possible things that could happen (I know they have to go through this with you but it doesn’t make me feel very settled!!!)

Will update you as soon as possible on her hopefully safe arrival ... thanks for your support so far!!!!

Denise

PS I have prepared a CD for the Operating Theatre…... and even thinking bout it makes me smile and laugh….. its all lovely meaningful songs for me and OH….. lots of Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley, Bjork…... and then the last track is Queen Don’t Stop Me Now….... and all I keep thinking is the words….

Don’t stop me now
Im having such a good time
Im having a ball…....

Not sure what the consultant will think… ha ha xxxxxxxxx

Oooh how exciting!! Two weeks today I was in hospital eagerly awaiting my c/section (and panicking about the after effects!) But you know what - from what I’ve heard elective sections are SO much easier than emergency ones (I’ve had two not so good “natural” births and an elective section and I would choose the elective section any day - unless of course I was guaranteed a fab natural birth - but no such luck!!).  My experience was totally amazing. Really chilled and relaxed and not what I was expecting at all. And the recovery was also much quicker than my “natural” birth which ended with an episiotomy and ventouse.

Loads and loads of luck and love…you will be meeting your little girlie soon!! So exciting!!! x x x

Lots of luck being sent your way Denise, you’ll be surprised how calm and relaxed everything is.  Look forward to hearing how it all went, Jen x
