...or at least I think that’s the term used lol.

What would be your essentials if you only had things you loved to wear and were practical in your wardrobe?

I need to re-assess what is in mine, a combination of getting healthier and losing weight and being older than I was wink  It got my mind thinking.  Also I don’t want to many clothes as if they are in the wardrobe too long I have to wash them again or the dust sets off my eczema!

I’m going to have a think and get back to you with mine, so what are your essentials and must have’s and love’s for clothes?

If I absolutely had to but down, 2 pair of skinny jeans, a hippy skirt with leggings then a combo of vest tops, v-neck tee and long sleeved tees in a mix of blues, greens, white and back.

I’m trying to get the amount of clothes I own down… Trying to theme around blues and greens too…

ooh if only! I’ve no idea what I’d have in it, but my current wardrobe consists of stuff that fits reasonably OK, mainly jeans and t shirts or tops (v dull!) and as long as no ironing is needed that’ll do. I long for enough money to ditch the lot and buy a nice new wardrobe!

No help sorry! grin

I had a huge clear out of my clothes very recently. Right now I own…

2 Pairs of jeans - 1 light blue, one dark blue for smarter stuff
5 short sleeved tops
5 long sleeved tops
2 pairs leggings and 2 short skirts to wear together
A few longer skirts
One smart-casual dress for birthdays etc.
One hellbunny dress for date nights etc.

One very smart outfit for funerals and important meetings - black trousers, white blouse, black cardigan.

Over the summer, I’ll probably add in some vest tops and more floaty skirts

My “capsule wardrobe” is centred around a fabulous pair of knee high pinky/red suede boots (from Fat Face) that I can dress up or down.  I have a variety of skirts/dresses/tunics&leggings; which go with these boots and some scarves with that pinky/red colour in them too.  Then I have a selection of tops all in berry colours (and some blues/turquoise/greens) - it is fair to say that I clearly have a colour palette (no black/yellow/orange in my wardrobe anywhere), I only wear dark colours on my bottom half, never near my face and as time goes on I am finding more and more ingenious ways of wearing the same clothes over and over again… Recently I have been layering lots of tops in this colder weather (but when I have wanted to wear my fresh spring colours!) so I have worn a merino wool top underneath to keep warm…  I love my bamboo vests for an extra layer too.

In short, now that my weight is also reasonably stable, I have been throwing out clothes gladly, what I am left with I am really happy to wear constantly and not get bored and that is the point you want to be at.  I’m almost tempted to take a photo of my “collection” of clothes, since I’ve worked so hard on it!
