Following on from my previous post we now have a new addition to the family! His name is Ben and he is the cutest wee thing and so far has been very well behaved!! Our poor cat Holly is a bit put out but has ventured in for her dinner so I am pleased about that. Eilidh and Andrew love him to bits as do we and I think he will be very much part of the family! Very excited!

Thank you everyone. He has been great last night, slept all night and settling in well. It’s funny I think we had both had Ben before we got him, seems to suit him! Now I am away to do play room tidy up to make sure there is nothing he can get his teeth into, good excuse for a clear out!!

Our BC (name of Kips though she comes to Minxy as well!) is six next week - she’s an absolute clown and we all love her to bits (except the cat!)

I still remember when we first brought her home from the stables. She was born at the livery yard where we kept our horses at the time…I told DD not to get too fond… too late by the time I said this!! LOL

Ooh lucky you!!!  It is sooo exciting bringing home a puppy.  I bet you all can’t keep your hands off him at the moment.  I can’t believe our german shepherd pup is 10 months old already nor can i believe the size of her!!!!  She’s wonderful, we would not be without her and she gets on with the kitten we accquired in January, actually he bullies her around!!

I grew up with border collies and they are lovely dogs.  They do love lots of exercise and they’re super intelligent, so lots of games to stimulate their active minds, but loyal as anything.

Dogs are marvellous, it does not matter how bad a day you’ve had, they’ll aways put a smile on your face when they run to greet you when you get home.  Enjoy!!

Oh how nice!!!!

Our dog stopped chasing (eating) the cat after a few months, and now they snuggle up in the same basket and seem like good little friends.

Pics please !

Everyone is so enthusiastic on here I love it! Thank you . Ben is sitting here now with me and he is already displaying how intelligent he is, long may it continue! It is good to hear encouraging cat stories as Holly is really not happy and as far as I can tell hasn’t been back in since this morning. She has been in the garden and I have given her a cuddle which must smell of Ben but I do feel bad for her. I know she will come round though as she is ok with my mum and dad’s dogs just through the gate.

I would love to put up pics but where? We can’t put pics up here can we?

xx
