Hi everyone, just made some lovely veg soup, but it is bitty, even though it has been through the food processor. I want my 6yr old, who is a terrible eater to have some for tea, but, I know she will hate it, as it’s not like the creamy tin soups! Does anyone know how I could make it less bitty and more creamy, thank you xx

It needs to go through a blender rather than a food processor to properly liquidise it. Failing that, you could try straining it and adding single cream (right at the end and heating it gently so it doesn’t split)

Also adding mashed potato to it will help to cream it up rather than using cream, which will silken it but not thicken it

I chuck an extra spud in the oven when making jackets for thickening soup. It keeps in the fridge for a few days, and the scooped out insides work great in soup.
