DS has mentioned a few times recently he has a sore neck. He only mentions it once at a time though, not sort of, a few times within an hour say, so I’m not too worried, iyswim?

I’ve wondered though if it might be his pillow causing it. He sleeps with us and uses one of the standard ‘adult’ pillows of which there are 8 on the bed, which do get jostled around in pillow fights etc so he may be using different ones each night. He is 3 - what sort of pillow *should* he be using at this age?  x x x

Grace is three too, but doesn’t use a pillow at all yet. Don’t know if she “should” be though….. We have 5 on the bed - 2 each for us, and technically a thin adult pillow for her, but she feeds to sleep, so starts off at boob height, and never shuffles up onto it!

Hi Angie - thanks for sharing, I’m wondering whether to try going pillow-less for James, and see. Not sure what he will think though! x x

Both the big pixies have a flatish natural latex pillow (not sure what they “should” have). Seren is 4 and uses hers (and our pillows, which are the same, when she joins us in the night. Merri is 3 and always shuffles off the pillow to sleep just below it whether in her our our bed.

Just a thought but has James had that horrible coldy fluey virus going round? We all had it and the pixies complained of achey necks (and achey everything) with that for a few weeks. Xx

Funny thing that isn’t it. Babes too at this end often turns herself completely upside down and hence no pillow at all. I try to turn her round again and she just sleeps through like a log pillow or no pillow thank goodness.
all best
