Len has un-weaned, having not had milk for about 9mths!

It is really strange, seeing as she is almost 6 I assumed (when I said yes) that she would have forgotten, but she has nursed 4 times today. Which is more than Fliss has!

What a strange and wonderful journey it is!

How lovely! Could she be hatching an illness & ‘know’ that what she needs is a dose of Mama’s immunity? I’ve often wished that I could feed DD (who self-weaned at 14 months when my milk dried up) when she was getting or had a cold. She’s now 6 & has no siblings, so it isn’t going to happen!

I was thinking the same - maybe she needs you to produce some antibodies for her!

Aw thats lovely! Charlie forgot how to do it so quickly after weaning at 3 but still says sometimes that she wishes she hadnt stopped and that she wishes she could still remember how to do it. I was pregnant with Nate at the time though so think my milk had pretty much gone. I agree with the others, maybe its an immunity thing, or even dehydration in this sudden heat wave?

It definitley isn’t an illness, she is full of the proverbial joys! The only child I’ve met who has gone such a long gap is a friend’s little boy who weaned while she was pregnant then came back when the baby was a few months old. He carried on for another year!

What a lovely surprise for you both, especially so for Leni in that you “allowed” her to try smile
C is poorly right now, high temp, hadache, dizzy, etc and just last night asked for booby after not having any since christmas. He’s almost 6 too (August) but he really didn’t manage to get anything much despite trying his best as I really don’t have a lot there right now, H struggles most of the time too, so I knew he wasn’t going to get anything, but didn’t want to say no whilst he is poorly.
Strange and unfathomable little things aen’t they?
