Hi everyone, does anyone have ideas for simple to make ( as I can’t stand for long, due to back injury) sandwiches for packed lunch for an 18, 10 and 6 yr old. I am fed up of giving them ham or cheese!!! I have no imagination, and they all hate veg and salad, and I never get away with sneeking it in!!! Thank you xx

Hmmm I guess anything like hummus, bean spread or vegetable spreads would also be no good?  What about egg or fish with mayonnaise?

Salami with sliced pickled gherkins is good, houmous with roasted peppers from a jar is lovely, tuna mayo and egg mayo go down well here too. And pate is nice, but not if it’s too warm out. Brie is good too.

Enjoy!

Love, Sunshinexx

What about other kind of meats - chicken, pork, beef? Chicken with cold stuffing is nice, especially with red onion and mayo. Would second marmite, goes down very well here. Falafels are nice in sandwhiches, you can buy them ready made, by Cauldron foods. Or what about changing the breads - pitta, wraps or just different ‘flavoured’ bread, either by making your own if you do that or buying them, sundried tomato bread is lovely as is bread with seeds in. Marmite & peanut butter; Marmite & cream cheese (I love this without the bread, with celery or cucumber); honey & sultanas; Marmite & lettuce (there’s a theme here!).
