I’m inspired by all the mamas reporting great success with the Jason Vale juicing, but at the moment I dont have a juicer. But I do have a smoothie maker, and have been looking on the net and discovered that I could make a green smoothie, which sounds like just what I need right now. But the websites I’ve found all want me to buy their recipes! Cant seem to find any free ones.

Anyway, ramble over, does anyone have any suggestions for what to put in my green smoothie? Not hot on the idea of consuming liquidised lettuce, so need it to have other tastes in too!

Thanks x x

Spinach is nice in green smoothies, kale is more bitter so you’d probably want to put less in or counteract it with sweeter fruits. Are you putting fruits in? My OH just made one actually, he has a sweet-tooth so put in a large handful of spinach, honey greek yoghurt, half a tin of peaches, bit of apple juice, a banana and an apple. So that’s going to be very fruit-sugary so depends on what you want.
One that was more veg than fruit that I make occasionally involved water, one apple, half a cucumber, large handful of spinach, a small bit of ginger, one lemon and one lime. Tasted very ‘alive’, great to have cold out in the sun, very revitalising.
