I have a horse fly bite on my leg.  It’s driving me a little crazy.  I feel nauseous and a bit fluey.  I vomited a couple of nights ago and can’t put it down to anything else.  It’s so itchy!  I had loratadine and chlorphenamine last night and they only just kept the itchiness under control.  Any ideas what I can put on it?  Is there any natural think I can put on it to draw it out?

Thanks!

Breastmilk?

Other than that, an ice cube rubbed over bites always helped me. x

Squished up plantain or plantain oil is what we use for all bites, stings and things like nettles.  It usually works very quickly, stops the itching and takes down swelling.  Also drink alot of water as it will not only keep you hydrated if you have vomited but also flush your system through to help you heal faster and feel better.  Hope you find soemthing that helps x

Are you certain it’s a horsefly bite and not a Blandford fly bite? The vomiting just sounds worrying to me - maybe best to get it checked?

Pretty certain its a horse fly bite, having had one before and just looked at some pictures.  I’ll look for some plantain, pretty sure we have some in the garden.
Thanks
