So the long bank holiday is almost here. Would love to hear what you are all going to be doing with your families smile We are going camping at the seaside, at my daughter’s request. The weather forcast is not great, oh well! She is adamant she wants to go and we will get no peace unless we do, hehe! Any tips for camping with kids very much appreciated! Enjoy your weekend folks x

Hi, I hope you’ll have a lovely time camping! We are going to Ireland for a few days to meet up with a very good friend. Staying in a hostel in the Burren and hoping for lots of outdoor things: beach, rockpools, walks, climbing hills/mountains, and catching up of course! We’ve packed for rain, so any ray of sunshine will be a bonus!!

Have a lovely weekend/half term everyone!

Love, Sunshinexx

We are staying at home but happy to do so as we go on holiday to France in a few weeks so need to save up!!
We are going for a bike ride on Saturday and Charlie has been invited to a birthday party on a steam train on Sunday smile
No idea for Mon and Tues though, depends on how much it rains.

DH is doing a car boot fair on Sunday and I am going to be browsing (LOVE boot fairs!) and on Monday we are going to my mum and dad’s for a lunch gathering. One night (whichever night is forcast for the best weather) DH and the older two are going to camp out in the garden as we would normally be camping for the week during spring bank holiday (very often in Cornwall) but not this year as we weren’t sure about camping with a 7week old! However, we intend to camp with a 4 mth old as we did with ds1 so have plans to camp in the summer holidays instead….but that’s another post.

But generally over the weekend we intend to do holiday-like things such as camp fires/bbqs in the garden, beach trips and walks through our tiny woodland behind our house to buy ice cream from the co-op!  grin

Half term next week which somehow means it doesnt feel like a bank holiday really…wish they could have been separate. I am pleased we decided at the last minute not to go away because my dog had to have a nail removed on Wednesday so needs walking on the lead only, with a plastic bag on his foot if its wet and medicine in the morning and a couple more vets appointments. So we are staying at home, dd has drama tomorrow, my Mum is collecting her and calling in. We are going to a ‘not the jubilee’ party on Tuesday at a lovely place with a yurt and shelters in the woods, there will be drumming, meditation and a bbq grin We have also been invited to a street (ish) party in the churchyard near my Mum on Sunday, but might be too much. The rest of the week is another bbq party, dd spending a couple of days with her Dad and dd revising for exams the week she goes back. Im really looking forward to a week of dd being at home, slower mornings and no school run (yippee, I hate the school run).

GP camping for us.
I’m wasting time on here, instead of camping.

I am going to combine two jobs.. and make a ginormous pesto pasta salad; kids can have some lunch and the rest we’ll take camping with us.
Back Tuesday.

OOH sounds good, hope you all enjoy your plans smile

So very sorry to hear that charlie is unwell, I hope you are both as well as can be expected, take it
easy x

We;ll I think-THINK-i have packed everything. I thought I had finished a while back but the pile keeps growing!

No plans for tomorrow, going to Newcastle Green fest on Sunday (it’s free if anyone’s in the area), possibly a BBQ if the weather stays fine.  Thinking about pitching the tent in the garden on Monday if it’s warm enough for a little camp out, DD can’t wait to try camping!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, whatever you’re doing

We are looking forward to daddy returning on Sunday after 16 days away.  Then we are to our friends new house, near Welshpool, for a few days.

All the folks who are camping, hope the weather is kind.  smile

Sunday we’re having a Jubilee lunch after Church with full dress-up, food and decorations. Mon will be quiet day hopefully, probably potte down the allotment if it’s not raining. Then Tuesday is our super exciting street party yay grin

Enjoy GP camping will be thinking of you, and will absolutely definitely get round to coming one year lol!

Have a nice time everyone!

We were meant to go to Anglesey from Fri til Wed… Last monday Ben got a call he had to go to Germany Wednesday morning for 5 weeks :(
So now instead of a holiday I am on my own with Jamie for 5 weeks and then my period came this morning with terrible cramps..

At least Jamie is in a great mood, cooking cupcakes with play dough smile
