Blimey so organised.  :D

I may need to borrow a tall person :D I can’t reach everything in my top box, so might need someone to grab a few bits down for me.
Darn my short legs lol.

Our plan for food has gone out of the window due to not having transport to go shopping this end, but ah well.  I have spent over an hour trying to find all the kids hats and coats and so on, so I’m VERY glad I decided not to leave that til the morning haha!

I’m popping to Tescos (yeah I know, unfortunately it’s my local supermarket),  later so if you send me a list I can pick up what you need and bring it with me, if that helps?

It’s fine thanks, the only disappointment is that I wanted to pre-make as much as possible and now I’ll have to do more cooking on site, that’s all.  smile

Still can’t find the kids wellies - at least not matching ones that fit…  *rolls eyes*

I’ll volunteer to unload stuff from your top box though, if anyone is tall enough to reach that’d be me surely!  smile

Well, finally finished clothes packing. Booked a taxi for the morning to take us to the train station, and now I’m going to do some cooking and have a bath. And then catch up with some sleep as I haven’t slept much last night; pre-camping nerves… lol. Will have more luggage than expected, but hopefully I’ll manage: baby in the sling in the front; big ruckack with food on the back; small rucksack on a shoulder (carrying essentials), and a huge luggage to pull along and wrapped onto that some yoga mats which we use to sleep on… Well, hopefully I can manage everything… Oh can’t wait for tomorrow… Nitey, Bianca

Sarah, so glad you got loaned a car. Yay! smile

We too haven’t managed to do any pre-cooking (so far) so will have to do cooking on site. And so far we only have one gas canister/burner! Oops. Am planning on very simple stuff! Though actually I haven’t planned yet at all!

Bianca, you sound like Superwoman! Wow. Hope your train journey goes well. smile

We are sort of park packed. Children’s clothes done but not ours, most of the cooking stuff in but not all the food. And I am avoiding locating blankets and sheets and towels and bedding. Worst job! Hoping it will all fit! Our tent is in a huuuuge bag and will fill a lot of the boot.

Ezra tucked up in bed but Phoebe still out on next door’s trampoline with her friends. Hmm. I guess she’ll be up late all weekend so no biggie. She does take a long time to stop buzzing at night and settle to sleep though.

I wanted to make yummy cakes to share but so far have not very nice biscuits! Sorry all. xx

I was half planning to make a huge cake as it’s my birthday on Monday.  But sorry, I can’t face trying to make a large enough cake for everyone.. although Rye is very disappointed there will be no cake lol.  I will make some muffins later, and maybe some flapjack and that’s my lot.  I’m going to be naughty and pop to the supermarket and pick up pasties, bread and a few nibbles.

BTW my tripod bbq is very big so happy to share cooking on it.  I’m bringing the big paella type dish thing with me too, which is great for huge rice dishes, pasta sauces and much to my utter surprise frying eggs and not sticking!!!!  If I get the chance I think I’ll mix up a pancake mix to bring too and make pancakes.. oooh birthday pancakes.. yum! :D
Oh and I have packed the stew pot too; so would be great for making a large batch of soup or similar?

Jacqui, your food sounds so yummy! I am still wondering what to bring.

If you make pancakes you might find a little friend hovering nearby! lol. They are Phoebe’s favourite!

Still hoping to fit in last minute baking of some kind. smile

And am still debating another knitting or crochet project as I’m bored of ‘kanoko pants’ ribbing already. lol.

Bianca, could you please pm your mobile number? I can’t seem to find it on my phone and I’d like to have it to let you know if we’re going to be late.

Also, rostyPink, as the organiser, it might be useful for us to have your number too, that way if we get lost when we’re nearly there or anything… :D

we are getting there! Have even managed a small amount of baking too - some vegan cupcakes and cheesey biscuits so far but the aim is to make a beetroot and chocolate cake in a mo too - wont be huge enough to feed us all but will hopefully be a good start! Joxy I didnt realise its your birthday while we are away! how exciting!

Bianca good luck with the journey! You sound like superwoman to me!!

Laura - please dont stress over food and cooking, between us we will be fine! we are bringing single burner and the cobb bbq (im aiming on jacket potatoes and beans one night, pizza one night, and spag bol one night and happy to put on extra for you guys!)

sooooo excited now!

Oh and just to say if any of you hear me nagging my daughter about whether she needs the loo - please dont feel im being pushy controlling mum, shes having a few issues and will need a bit of a gentle nugde to use ‘strange’ toilets while we are away!

Mamapixie, I’ve just PM you.

Thanks everyone; not sure about superwoman, just crazy I guess, packing far too much. The thing is, haven’t been camping since a teenager, and not in this country anyway, plus camping with my 3-months-old baby… I’m not stressed out, just running on adrenaline already… too excited about meeting you, guys… hehehe…oh, we’ll have so much fun… It’s a shame hubby doesn’t want to come; anyway, he’s got plenty of varnishing and other work to keep him busy this long long weekend.

Ok, off to finish cooking.

Well, evening not going as planned here. Oh well. We will get there, just not in as organised fashion as I would have liked! lol.

Think I am going to have a very tired girl in the morning.

Still lots to pack. Better get on with it! x

Night night.  I confess after tidying the kitchen up I couldn’t face messing it up again to bake.
So I’ll be buying instead.
But yup, pretty much packed too, just the tub in the kitchen with plates and dry food etc in it, oh and fire bowl, actually I’ll take the legs off it, and wrap it in a black bag before I go bed.
then just the usual morning stuff; toiletries and pillows.

Quick trip to the supermarket first thing, then we’ll be setting off.  I’m hoping to arrive around midday :D

Woohoo so excited, I shall go to bed now…... and I shan’t get distracted trying to tighten up the dreads (some are very loose), otherwise I’ll be at it for hours! lol.

(shhh it’s partly why I’ve not baked, TBH, I got distracted tightening a few up at the front and crocheting my dreads, whcih was strangely hypnotic….)
