Glad things are better your end Sarie. smile and Joxy, I hope Rye is feeling ok still.

Ezra woke up boiling hot, ate a little bit, was emotional, cuddled, and has now gone back to sleep. Hoping he will feel better in the morning.

Sam, I hope Nate’s rash clears up soon and he is still chirpy.

You know, I’m beginning to think it’s not HF&M disease at all.
Despite the temperature, Rye has not devleoped any other symptoms.  I had already closed the setting until this coming Saturday, so I think I’ll keep it closed, give me a chance to sort a few things out anyway, and give Rye a chance to rest.  He doesn’t seem ill as such, but he is sleeping a lot, and taking naps during the day, which, these days, is unheard of.

And yes I’m missing everyone too, I keep looking at the camping pictures on flickr.
Maybe next year we could do a longer camp in which folks simply come for however long they are able to; and if run it over a weekend, then those with kids in school or partners that work and can’t bet the time off, can still come along too.  (Or run during school hols?)

More than welcome to come to Kingsdown in September, although I know it’s a long way for many of you.

We’re running it from 6th September to 10th September (Thurs through to the Monday)

That would be great. Would love to join you again, and hopefully stay longer this time. I’m glad though that I decided to not stay the entire period with Toby on that weather. Despite the fact we stayed only a bit, the next day we both slept a lot feeling quite tired. Joxy, perhaps Rye is just very exhausted with all that great play and cold rainny weather. It might take him a few days to recharge his batteries. Hugs and kisses, Bianca and Toby

Ezra perked up around 7pm last night and as he had napped he stayed up til past midnight!
I think he is pretty much back to normal today, if rather tired. Phoebe could not let us lie in and kept sneaking away from Russ to come and check on us. lol.
Hope everyone is getting back to normal now.

We are definitely up for more camping! Last night Phoebe dreamt we were camping again, and Charlie had come back and she was saying goodbye to her and Jenna and Rye Rye. smile

xx

Ok, if anyone is interested in coming to Kingsdown in September, it’s near Deal in Kent.  Beautiful countryside, camping on the cliff overlooking the English channel, easy walk down to the beach (I know it’s easy cos I can do it relatively easily!).  I do not think you are suppose to swim in this section of the beach because of currents, but beach combing is fantastic (one of the girls found a skeleton of a turtle!), and paddling is ok.  Loads of castles nearby; Deal, Walmer castle and Dover Castle, a very impressive Norman Castle and the tunnels from the war to explore.  All are english heritage.  Ooh and excellent ship watching, as obviously the ferries etc go right past on their way to Dover port!

There’s also boat trips from Dover too; one is pretty cheap and is just going out for a boat ride; the other is more expensive and is a sea safari, including going near the seal sanctuary.

Camping is £4.5pppn.  3yrs and under are free.  If interested I just need to know how many so i can let the camp site know. Payment is to me.
The site its self has electric hook up, water stand pipes dotted around, washing up area, toilets and free hot showers.  (note: we tend to camp close to the shower/toilet block and not near the hook ups)
Off ground campfires are allowed, and there’s also a couple of very large firepits too.
Cars are allowed on the camping field too.

Sorry it’s not in the school holidays, I’d arranged this camp with local home educators in mind, and we wanted to avoid peak charges.  Everyone is welcome of course and you do not have to home educate either!

Wish we could do Deal, but Chris has no time off left really and it is too far for me on my own.

Maybe we could do something over October half term ( whenever that is!)

Not sure about everywhere else, but here in Kent Oct half term is week commencing 29th October.
I wouldn’t be able to take any more time off I’m afraid, so I will have to forgo any Autumn meet up.  I’ve arranged quite a bit of cover for my minded child already so I can take more time than originally planned, I think any more would be taking the mickey a little.

Any aye, understand, it is a trek to my little corner of the UK.

:-(

Hmm. Will have a think but as I am planning on giving birth in October its probably not a great idea to be so far from home around that time. lol.

Looking forward to seeing you all again before too long though. xx
