gah!have all the ingredients (even ginger which i rarely have!) except coconut flakes..trying to think what i could sub them with..any ideas?

Flaked almonds maybe?  I’ve just made the chocolate coconut cupcakes with random nuts and standard dates instead of medjool, delish!!

They look great its a shame my little ones are all allergic to nuts, I wonder if I could sub seeds?

i made these last week and ate the whole tray-ful in 24 hours! yum!
OH thought they resembled uncooked cake batter (which technically it is!) but he is just too used to cooked spongey cake!

These look really interesting. I’ve never made anything like that, but I think I’ll give it a try, as well as the chocolate & coconut ones which look delicious! However, I’m not vegan, so can anyone advise whether it would be ok to substitute honey for agave nectar, and if so, how much I’d need to use?

the only problem i can think of is agave nectar is more runny than honey, so it might make the mixture too sticky. is this for the chocolate ones? i haven’t made them yet, only the carrot ones. maybe someone else can be more helpful!
