I was just looking at ordering storybox for my two (3yrs and 5yrs) but am shocked at the price of over 80 euros, i know there is a cd with it but for 10 magazines that seems a bit much, is it worth it.
Any other recommendation’s for this age greatly appreciated.Preferably without loads of advertising or TV characters. smile

Good question.
Heather is loving comics at the moment but the ones available through th newsagent are flimsy, uninspiring and with multitudes of plastic stuck to the front. Heather is just turned three so we will watch this thread grow (hopefully).

Hi, my DS gets adventure box and I think it’s worth the price as it’s not patronising like some mags and I love the lack of adverts!! But, I was given some story box magazines and I’m not sure I’d pay the sub price, but they are still good magazines. I have two spare story box mags, did you want me to send you one each to see what you think? I’ll cover postage smile Just pm me your address if you’d like xx

forgot to add that some HE ppl I know recommend Anorak, Okido and Animal Planet and Aqulia, but I haven’t read these myself to know what they are like. I wouldn’t recommend National Geo for kids, I was so disappointed with how simplistic it was and full of adverts too.

Anorak now do a magazine for littler ones, called PLOC.  It’s very sweet with vintagey illustrations and no advertising, but it’s only 4 times a year.  You can get it in either English or French (for anyone here whose littles are interested in learning French).
