I hope I have spelt that right. Anyway, I am thinking of buying a waterproof coat from there for my eldest, he will be 6 in November and is of slight build but average hight and I was wondering what the sizing is like. I really want it to last, obviously.

Does anyone know of any voucher codes too?

Thank you

For Rowan I need a size down (or two).  For Jenna I can comfortably go a size up (right now she has a tunic that is age 10, it’s a bit huge on her but she wears it as a dress).  She tried on coats recently in the sale and the one that fitted best was 8-10 (she’s nearly 8).  She’s broad across the shoulders but skinny everywhere else.  Their sizing seems to me to be fairly skinny fitting but long, so perfect for Jenna really.

Sign up for their emails, the regularly do 20% off. I only buy their stuff (find it true to size but no harm in sizing up to get your money’s worth) and I never pay full price, had very cheap baby waterproofs off them in the sale grin

Thank you for your replies.

Sarah, after reading your message I dragged dh off to Derby to have a look at the shop. It never occurred to me that they had a shop and it was well worth a visit, thank you. I found that the coat I was going to buy wasn’t suitable and that I would wait for the new stock to come in and a 20 % discount was on offer, so thank you mountain mama. But actually, thinking about it, they had two waterproof coats in the sale in the sizes I wanted to might send dh to Derby to go and buy them and then buy the fleece jackets with the discount. As it is the rain coats that we so desperately need.

On trying them on I was surprised to find that ds1 (5.5) of slight build actually needed to buy a 6-7 (with room to grow) as the 5-6 was too small and ds2 who appears quite big and everyone tells me is going to be quite tall is actually only fitting the 2-3. So there we go!
