Presuming we will get some this summer!  What are is your favourite nappy/wrap combo for warmer weather, particularly if baby is being carried in a wrap/sling too adding to the layers of warmth!

Currently trawling ebay trying to buy bits and bobs for my new cloth nappy habit!

I will be interested to see what others replies are as I did find some were making ds2 really hot. We have now settled on the cotton booster pads inside a bambino mio wrap with a fleece liner. Although my initial reaction was fleece would make him so hot, it actually makes him less hot than disposables because the fleece draws the moisture away and keeps him bottom dry whereas a disposable isn’t so good at keeping his skin dry. When he’s in a disposable he’s all red and sticky but in cloth he seems much more comfy! I’m hoping once he needs more absorbancy the tots bots and little lambs shaped nappies fit him ok with a fleece liner and fleece or PUL wrap. Right now he can’t bend in them as they go right up over his belly button.

Seeing as he rolled for the first time today from back to front I’m reluctant to put him in anything that hinders his movement as he’s desperate to join his big siblings! Ha ha!

I’ve always used shaped nappies (cotton or bamboo) with fleece liners and fleece wraps - neither of mine have seemed too hot. I shy away from PUL as I worry the plastic will make them hot, but fleece seems fairly breathable. I often don’t put them in anything else though! smile

long time ago for me now, but I use to use little lamb bambo nappies mostly, fleece liners and wool soakers, which are breathable.  I also didn’t put any trousers or anything over the nappy… but then wool soakers tend to be so pretty you don’t want to cover them up anyway…. and I used a bali gauze wrap in the summer, then as Rye got bigger progressed to a mei tai, which I really liked because the opening at each side meant there was a good ventilation between me and my son.  In the summer he wore very little when in the wrap, I tended to use oversize t-shirts or long sleeved shirts and kept them open.  That way his skin was protected but he was also not too hot.

Thank you, some helpful tips there.

I use a Beco carrier which although it’s a little padded it also has the open sides which give more ventilation.  It’s been really hard finding long legged trousers and tops made of thin material, going a size up on tshirts is a good idea grin

Thanks again x

Just seen this post, I have been using pop in new generation one size bamboo nappies with Emily.  They are brilliant, not bulky and airy - plus dry quick as anything in this weather. I have become addicted tho and keep buying them oops! In the heat they have been a superb fit and nappy rash that she did have has reduced since using them - so in this weather I would recommend them.  Jury is still out on how quick they will dry in cooler weather tho :s Have a look on Amazon as they have a trial one in pistachio or the funky turtle, owl or monkey ones. I have gone from just one to over 20 in the space of a week I am so impressed with them.
