Im looking to do some kind of (cheap!) distance learning course on natural health. I dont want it for proffessional purposes, just so I can use more natural healing in the home for our family. Im leaning towards herbalism I think, but wondered if anyone had any experience to share about what might suit us. Is there something else I havent considered? Im looking for a natures pharmacy type approach. Thanks! I can only afford to do one of the courses this year, so want to choose the right one!

I few friends of mine have used the School of natural health sciences http://www.naturalhealthcourses.com/home.htm and have been pretty pleased with them. They say the content is good (good enough for home use anyway) and it gives a good reading list. They are very cheap and offer lots of different deals.

I quite like the British School of Yoga http://www.bsygroup.co.uk/ They are much more expensive but I’m told they are better courses. You wouldn’t necessarily need a more in depth one for personal use though.

I hope this helps a little. xx

I’m studying with both BSY and Stonebridge at the moment and they are both really good distance learning colleges.  The School of Natural Health Sciences is much cheaper than the other two, and I think the courses are quite good, so they could be a good one to start with.

Good luck with your course!
