My left side has a very forceful letdown, however the right side is reaally leaky by comparison. I soak through breast pads on my right side! The right side is also the side he finds harder to latch on too and stay latched on well. Very odd. Any ideas?

I have the same, the opposite way around.  My left side has a damaged nipple, scar tissue from the early months of breastfeeding Jenna.  I always assumed that was why it was leaky, and why none of the other babies liked to nurse on that side.  My supply is lower on that side, it’s harder to express from that side, and I don’t get shooting letdown sensations on that side (ever).

I offer that side more when they are sleepy and less likely to protest.  I can never feed from that side while we’re out and about, which can mean I come home feeling slightly full sometimes.  Having winter babies makes it so much easier to stuff a muslin into my top without looking strangely lumpy!

No answers, but I can “me too” you!  xx

No answers here either but snap! My babies prefered the left, and found it harder to latch on the right, and my right was more leaky, assumed because they didn’t feed properly or so throughly from it! Very strange!

I’m exactly the same! Its not so bad when mine are a little older but when they’re tiny & my left side lets down - it’s so extreme they end up coughing & spluttering, poor lil things! Once they’re a few months old they all seem to prefer my left side though, crazy let down & all!! My right side they have all preferred to dream feed on for some reason…. they seem to like to stay latched on & I can hear little gulps every now & then rather than regular suckles. Its quite sweet really! I guess my left side needs more concentration as my newborns all get very wide eyed when they nurse on that side LOL
