“Hello, this is Radio 4. The news today: the world is ending, and most of us are going to die in a variety of hideous and extremely painful ways. Later on in the programme, we discuss how this will affect the already falling W.I membership numbers. But right now, it’s time for “The Archers”

My son's called Heath, can't get much more earthy than that!

No more for me either, and just as well as me and DH could only agree on enough names for 2 of them  ;D and it took 9 months each time to agree on even that!

Forest was on our shortlist smile
We have Kailen (means warrior) River and Edan (fiery spirit) Faelen (wolf), not particularly earthy but I love that they mean something specific smile

When I was pregnant with ds one of the names I had listed was Lachlan which means "from the land of lakes"  water is my favourite element and I'm a water sign so I thought it was quite apt.

The name we have chosen for our baby is very earthy-but I won't share it untill he's here with us…. ;D

I liked the name Callan taken from the Callanish stones in Lewis. I already know a Callan though. Also the name Torr I think is beautiful.  smile

River is lovely.  Rowan is DD1's name, though my mum told me you can spell it Rohan (yes as in Tolkien lol) for a boy as well.  Ash is on the shortlist should this one be a boy too.

love skye xx

lol Rohan was on our list as well, I really like it, after having trouble with boys names initially I wanted to use all of the shortlist, I'll try and dig it out and post them on this thread.

Just an idea, when we were thinking up alternative names 'just incase', we searched for an online name finder where you can put in a meaning or word and it gives you a selection of names with the meaning or translations of the word.  There was also one where you could put in a phrase but you got less back.

Hope this helps,
sarie
