Hi Uma
I hope he doesn't keep you waiting too long! I wouldn't panic about his size - everyone I know that's been told by scans that they're having a monster child has turned out to have a perfectly normal-sized baby! I don't know why they do it really, as it seems to be totally inaccurate and just worries people.
My last baby was apparently going to be at least 10.5lbs according to growth scans. He was about 8.5lb at 10 days late…..
On the flp side my growth scan was accurate DD was over 10lb! So sometimes they are true - but I also measured big and MW could feel a "big" baby. So wouldn't necessarily take a scan on its own. DD is now 2.5 and taller than most 3/4 year olds!
Don't trust scan sizes here either- with DD, my bump was measuring 6cm to small and off to the hospital for late scans, etc and all thinking I was going to have this tiny baby- who turned up at 8lb8, and off the scale for hight :o
Good luck to all the nearly-Mums out there
Gill
:-*
I have heard stories about the scan weights being wrong-but I do know that he is on the longer/larger size just from feeling him through my tummy. Also DH is a GP and is also pretty sure he's kinda big (not too surprising as himself is 6'4….. )
So still here, and waiting patiently….Had some twinges yesterday and realised that I have actually been getting tightenings all along, I just thought they were meant to be painful and these haven't been, I had just assumed that it was little one pressing against me… ::)
Fingers crossed he makes an appearence soon, could do with a longer sleep than 1 hour intervals!

Congratulations Arwen_tiw - how are things going - I know you don't have the easiest time of it do you?
Still surviving. Some folks from our church brought round about a month worth of frozen home-cooked meals last night, so poor dh has slightly less to come home to do. The last couple of months have been really rough. I've never yet had a pregnancy that wasn't like this though - I'm just hoping that it's better by halfway like with Morgan!
