baby aloe vera plants.
I think they will be OK in the post with some cardboard so they don't get bent smile
1/2 a greenie (can we do 1/2's?)  plus whatever the postage is (all different sizes so weight wise they could vary)

Lovely for the skin when they have got bigger smile

Stick with 1 greenie per plant - it makes the maths easier :D
I'll have one, will pm address. Would make lovely pressie for TH birthday, as he's into carnivorus plants and succulents.

Thank you

Ooh, can I have one please!!!

I used to work in a factory that supplied plants by post!  Could you also give a wee bit of advice as to where it should live, how much water etc.

I'd never thought of this! If you run out, darkstar, I'm sure I have some too. But please; yours must be taken first as it was your idea.

I'd love some advice on posting Wodgehog; I wouldn't know how to go about it! I might post some out to friends - such a brilliant idea, darkstar!

Well, for a potted plant, they used to wrap the pot in a plastic bag which was kind of tied round the plant's stem so compost didn't fall out and I guess it kept a bit of moisture in too.  Not sure how big each baby plant is, but maybe it could be covered with another pot, either another plantpot or old yoghurt pot or something.  It's a brilliant idea!  I've been wanting an aloe vera plant for ages!

My goodness I can't believe there is so much interest!
I will go and count how many I have tomorrow in daylight smile If I don't have enough it won't be long before I have more as I've just re potted the mother and she produces lots of babies.
I was just going to send in envelope with bubble wrap and cardboard to stiffen it  (wet kitchen roll round root). Yog pots are a good idea but they are already a few inches tall so I'm hoping bubble wrap will do the trick.
I will do a little 'how to look after me' note for each one as well.

I have enough for everyone that wants one so far.
PLease PM me your addresses (along with screen name so I know whose who lol)
I will then PM you back with how much the postage was. I would estimate it to be approx 1.50 ish but I haven't weighed them yet as don't want to uproot them until ready to pack smile
Unless anyone wants theirs urgently I will wait til I have all addresses and send out all together as it's easier for me to do that.

These have all been sent off today (and yours Polly  ;D)

I had an assistant in making up the parcels so there is an excess of sellotape on some! plus in our enthusiasm the care instructions didn't quite make it into all packages BUT I tucked them behind the address lables so if you don't have one in your package, tear your address label off and you should find one!

I will PM you with postage costs.

and do i tell you  Earthmummie who had what for the spreadsheet?
