Here's the introduction thread, come and tell us all about yourself.  I'll go first.

I'm Lucie, I live near Boston in Lincolnshire and I'm married to Craig.  We have 7 children aged between 2 and 15 and are expecting another baby in February 2009.  We also have 6 chickens.

I enjoy knitting, sewing, crochet, feltmaking and scrapbooking.  I also run a Bumps and Babes group and a Mother and Toddler group and I'm a Governor at my children's primary school.

Ummm, that's all I can think of.

Hello all,

I'm Claire, SAHM to 4 children, 3 boys and one girl.  I live on the Worcestershire/Warwickshire border.  I am enjoying getting back on my feet after a rather difficult pregnancy, so will be back down the allotment, and back to running my fairtrade stall where ever I see an opportunity.  I also help out with a peer support breastfeeding group.  That kind of keeps me busy enough, but I do find a little time to hang out here too!!

We currently live in Cheshire but have our house up for sale and should it ever sell LOL hope to move to the beautiful Shropshire countryside. I am studying for a degree in Life Sciences with the Open University but have taken 6 months out as I just found it really difficult trying to fit everything in.

I'm Lesley and I am a SAHM and live in Lancashire.  DH and I have two boys ages 23 and 19 and a little girl aged 2.  Our older son has moved out and our younger son lives with us whilst he is studying at university

It's been fantastic being parents again after such a big gap!  I like reading, cooking, walking.  I am going to learn to knit.  At the moment I am enjoying reading books on Home Education as our daughter will be HE from the start.  Our younger son was HE between 12 and 16 and it has been so good for him smile

I love this forum as it has very open minded and tolerant members who can have a discussion as adults and always offer support and care to the other members.

Hello!

I'm Clare, SAHM to Helena (known as Leni) who is 2 and expecting our second in March next year! We live in Liverpool and are planning to HE from the start…after the baby is born we'll be moving to a canal boat! I'm involved in running our AP/vegan/organic/generally crunchy playgroup and also Liverpool's sling meet! Other than that, I'm a knitter, bad sewer and seem to spend an inordinate amount of time looking at ways to simplify!

Hello

I'm Sam, I'm 34 and I'm mummy to Tilly aged just 4 months. I'm enjoying being at home at the moment, but I have a flexible job as a psychotherapist and I'll return to work for one or two evenings a week shortly. We live in Kent and spend a lot of time at the seaside in Thanet. We've two lovely cats, Duncan and Lady Macbeth.

I enjoy reading (voraciously), knitting (tentatively) and cooking (with varying degrees of success). I spend far too much of my time either here, on other forums or on Facebook!  :-[

Hello  smile
I'm Naomi and I'm 23, married this year to Conrad. We're expecting our first baby together this week (Sunday for induction). I am very excited about becoming a mummy and putting into practice all the things I have dreampt about-baby wearing, breast feeding etc.

I am interested in herbalism and worked during my uni time at a herbalist shop. I completed my degree a year ago in Philosophy at Edinburgh uni and now live in East Ayrshire in the countryside with my hubby and two miniture shetland ponies. I am a vegan and into self sufficiency-need to get the garden up and running and get some ducks next year. I also play a whole bunch of instruments-Bodhran being my fav and used to tour and gig with various bands. I enjoy reading (lots), crafty stuff, cooking, and crocheting when I get the chance. Oh I'm also a practicing Buddhist  smile

Lovely to learn more about everyone.

Hi, I'm Michelle (or shell), I'm a 34 SAHM and I'm married to my best friend Adrian.  We have 3 boys aged 10, 9 and nearly 2 who we are home educating.  We live in a small village in North East Lincs.  We have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 20ish giant african land snails and 5 chickens.

I love reading, listening to music, making all sorts of things (sewing, knitting, cards, preserves, gifts), I'm trying my hand at drawing and growing my own veg, foraging (just found a walnut tree in the village ;D) and nature/environment things.

I'm Lou and I am a 32 year old primary teacher at an international school.  I am a single mother (have been since 7 months pregnant) to Charlotte who will be 2 in December.  We live in Portugal, on the coast 20km from Lisbon. I have been vegetarian for 21 years and am interested in all things green.  I am trying to set up an organic garden at the moment and try very hard to be greener at home.  Charlotte and I are an AP style family and we love walking, crafty things, the beach, horse riding (me only!!).  I come back to the Uk to see family who are in Nottinghamshire.

Hello,
I'm Laura, mum to Marcus who'll be 2 in December too..
I'm French and been in Wales for 5 years now, with Ben (dp) who works with his family here.
I was a French teacher with Le club Francais but have stopped since Marcus is here,
as I couldn't face leaving him with someone else and want to give him the best start.

I'm now interested in unschooling, Montessori education (I'm making sandpaper letters at the moment)
and loads of other things! (being green, nature, crafts with Marcus, buiding an extension in our house…)

ps: girls, I thought, why not have a thread per person? So that everyone can comment on everyone's resumé if they like?
and it'll be easier to look up afterwards too…

Hello =] I'm Rebekah. I live in Ireland,in a 300 year old cottage, by the sea and a bog, it's all very cliched, passing Americans love it. I am mummy to Willow, aged 14 months. I'm living with my parents but have been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years now. I'm doing A levels and learning to drive, so i can pollute the earth some more. Not really, I kind of have to as we are 4 miles from nearest bus stop. We have chickens and ducks and a huge garden, lots of veg etc, and an orchard, which is great.

Um…I like baking, reading, horseriding, and going for walks… Uma, I play the bodhran too,it pwns…..I've been a member of CND since I was 11, and I'm very opinionated to the point of being a pain in the ass.

“Hello, this is Radio 4. The news today: the world is ending, and most of us are going to die in a variety of hideous and extremely painful ways. Later on in the programme, we discuss how this will affect the already falling W.I membership numbers. But right now, it’s time for “The Archers”

Hi, :-*
I'm Gill (or Gillian to my parents ::)), 31years old and living with hubby, Rik (we've been married for 7 years), daughter Emily, who is 4, and Tomas, 2, a tank of tiny fish and 3 chickens.
I was at uni (studying biology) in Brighton and moved up to Lincoln 6 years ago where I work as a gym instructor (part time) and a wife and Mummy (full time!).
I'm a "nearly-veggie" (I'm one of those weird ones who still eats fish sometimes), and spend my time split between doing fun stuff with E and T, forraging (my new favourite-there are jars and bottles of wanderful things all over the house now ;D), sewing and crafty things, veg. gardening, baking cakes and doing exercise (not as much as I would like :( but I'm rather into weight-training at the moment),(and using too many brackets when I type, apparently!)
Gill
(hi Carole- striving gardener- fancy seeing you here smile)
