Hello, I’ve been reading the magazine since the very beginning, and have used the forum on and off for a while but thought I’d join properly now I’m about to become a mum! I live with my delicious and witty husband in a cliff-top home on the south coast. We’re totally off-grid but have some solar and wind power. We moved here last summer from our floating home - a 30 foot 1920s cruising yacht and still miss our boat-dwelling days (but hey, the sea is still only outside our front door!) but had to come ashore to begin the adoption process.

We have three quirky cats and an extremely unique half-sausage dog. We’d dearly love to have children and have been trying since 2006. Medical check-ups have proved disheartening and after many years of an holistic approach to fertility, we’ve chosen adoption as our way of making a family. We’re in the process of being assessed and in the meantime, we have the endlessly joyful company of our two neices and our godchildren to warm our cockles and keep us in hearty laughter. And plenty of sea air and sea shanties to sing!

Adoption panel date is 11th July and then our social worker has a little boy ready who needs a home, so we could be parents this summer - WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone on here and sharing all the joys of attachment/green parenting xxx

Hi I’m Laura,
A mum to 2 fab little boys age 5 and 2 and living in South Tyneside, with my husband and our dog.

I love animals, British wildlife, cloth nappies - and I came across this magazine quite by accident a few months ago when it was part of prize package of cloth nappies and accessories. I loved it and am now totally intrigued and inspired by Home Educators, awareness parenting and living a ‘greener’, more intune with the earth kind of life!

‘Ullo all,

I’m Kate, I’m 32, married to Matt and currently a SAHM to Ariadne, who was born in the middle of June. I hope to go back to working from home at some point. Other than that, I’m what my husband lovingly refers to as a pinko-liberal-eco-hippy, which I guess means I’m doing something right.I may or may not look into HE when the time comes, but until then, I will be bringing A and any others we have up to love Nature, have lots of fun in the outdoors, respect the world and learn to swim. The last one is vital, as we live on the South Coast.
